Wood believes he is best fit to serve due to his experience in young voters’ shoes.
“I got into this race because the affordability crisis my family dealt with in the nineties. I know the affordability crisis, and I know that it has gone unaddressed for the thirty years that Susan Collins has been our senator,” he said.
He thinks there is a lack of representation in congress.
“For young people, this feels like why we are losing trust in democracy. It’s why we’re not solving these problems, and we’re also not seeing ourselves reflected in congress,” he said.
The Wood campaign will be hosting more town hall events next week in different towns across Maine.
