Senate candidate Jordan Wood held a town hall event in Biddeford Monday night.
Wood is one of several Democrats looking to unseat Republican incumbent Susan Collins.
He describes himself as an anti-corruption reformer.
The Lewiston native has been holding town hall events across the state for months.
He says he plans to have at least one in each county, a sharp contrast to Collins, who critics claim hasn’t had a town hall in 25 years.
Wood says Collins and other Republicans in Congress are cowards who refuse to stand up to President Donald Trump.
“Her, I would say cowardice is the best way to describe it, and her lack of courage to stand up for us and the truth, permits people like RFK Jr., who are entirely unqualified to be the head of HHS, and we are the ones who deal with the consequences,” Wood said.
